Managing Director
Michelle Harwood
Michelle has over 18 years’ experience delivering Bid Management in the construction industry, previously working for the largest contractors within the UK, as well as smaller SMEs. She manages our team of Bid Managers and Writers, as well as continuing to write SQ’s and Tenders herself. She can write bids for a multitude of sectors including refurbishment, planned and responsive, retrofit, water hygiene, electrical and mechanical. Her main aim is to deliver a successful strategy for winning a bid and working with key members of the client organisations to obtain information required to compile a compliant and competitive submission. Her key skills include communication, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and organisation.
Bid Manager
Priya Wolton
Priya has seven years’ experience bid writing and managing. She has previously worked for main contractors and is an expert in writing bids for planned refurbishment, cladding and retrofit/decarbonisation works. She account manages one of our key clients ensuring the client needs are met including tender launches, meeting and sign offs, reviews and strategy meetings. Her key skills include strategic delivery of the bid process, communication with key contacts with client organisations, expert bid writing and innovative ideas.

Bid Manager
Natasha Furlong
Natasha has over five years’ experience bid writing. She has previously worked for main contractors and can bid write for a variety of sectors including planned, responsive, water hygiene, mechanical, electrical, cladding and retrofit. She is adaptable to meet the needs of different clients whether main contractors or SMEs. She ensures SQs, and tenders are written to show the unique innovations and added value of the particular organisation she is writing for. Her key skills include adaptability, attention to detail, efficiency, expert writing incorporating detailed client specific added value.
Bid Manager
Anita Curtis
Anita brings over three decades of experience in the construction and housing sector to her role as Bid Manager at The Harwood Group. She joined the company after eight successful years at Mulalley, where she played a key role in securing major contracts across London and the South East.
Prior to that, Anita spent 23 years at Higgins, where she developed her expertise in bid management, pre-construction planning, and client liaison, contributing to the delivery of numerous high-profile regeneration and new build projects.
Known for her strategic insight, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, Anita is passionate about driving high-quality, competitive bids that align with client needs and The Harwood Group’s values of excellence and integrity.
Bid Manager
Jay Baillie
Jay is an accomplished Senior Bid Manager with a progressive career spanning 3 decades covering diverse sectors, from specialist projects to multi-billion-pound developments. Jay excels in collaborating to devise and implement winning bid strategies. Her hands-on approach ensures high-quality bids are delivered professionally and collaboratively.
Jay demonstrates excellent writing, time management, organisational, and creative skills, supported by advanced IT proficiency across Microsoft and Adobe suites.
Throughout her career, Jay has overseen the entire bid lifecycle, managed teams, and developed clear win strategies, with experience in affordable housing, retrofit and regeneration, education, healthcare, and heritage sectors. Her expertise includes managing multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring governance, and delivering client-focused, creative submissions.
Bid Coordinator
Amelia Vickers
Amelia brings eleven years of experience in coordinating bids within the construction industry. She plays a central role in managing and supporting bid production activities for a diverse client base, working closely with bid managers throughout the tender process. Amelia also handles the administration of tender portals and frequently completes Selection Questionnaires (SQs) on behalf of clients. Known for her agile and adaptable working style, she is highly organised, proactive, and skilled at building and sustaining strong client relationships.
Trainer Bid Writer
Sian Cook
Sian has two years’ experience bid coordinating in construction. She manages, and co-ordinates bid production activities for various clients, supports the bid managers, manages all portals and completes SQs for clients. Her key skills include flexibility and agile working, organisation, proactivity and developing relationships with clients.
